Job Summary:
The Front House Manager oversees the operations of the front of the house, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient workflow, and smooth coordination with the kitchen and back-of-house teams. This role involves managing staff, maintaining service standards, and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining high standards of hospitality and addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure effective and efficient service.

  • Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while controlling labor costs.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee front-of-house inventory, including beverages, tableware, and linens, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as necessary.

  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the front-of-house operations comply with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness, food handling, and sanitation standards.

  • Coordination with Kitchen: Liaise with the kitchen and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.

  • Financial Management: Monitor front-of-house budgets, track expenditures, and contribute to cost control initiatives. Manage cash handling procedures, including closing out registers and reconciling sales.

  • Problem-Solving: Handle any customer complaints or operational issues that arise during service in a calm and effective manner.

  • Staff Development: Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for staff development and training.

  • Event Management: Assist in the planning and execution of special events, private dining experiences, and other front-of-house activities.

  • Technology Proficiency: Utilize point-of-sale (POS) systems, reservation systems, and other relevant software efficiently to manage daily operations.
