Job Summary:
The Kitchen Head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that the kitchen staff adheres to high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.

Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff.
-
Ensure the kitchen team adheres to company policies and procedures.

Schedule and allocate tasks to kitchen staff based on business needs.

Menu Planning & Execution:

Collaborate with the executive chef to design, update, and innovate menu items.

Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items to ensure quality and consistency.
-
Monitor and manage portion control, food waste, and kitchen inventory.

Food Safety & Hygiene:
-
Ensure that all kitchen operations comply with food safety regulations and health standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.

Conduct regular kitchen inspections and address any issues promptly.

Inventory & Cost Management:

Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food, supplies, and equipment as needed.

Manage food costs by minimizing waste and optimizing ingredient usage.

Work within the budget to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently.

Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution:

Address any kitchen-related issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.

Troubleshoot and resolve any problems that may arise during service.

Communication & Collaboration:

Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.

Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
